Bunions, Corns, and Calluses

The painful swelling of soft tissue over the big toe can result in a bony bump that forms at the base, causing pain and leading to the development of calluses. As the big toe drifts toward the second toe, a deformity can arise, followed by swelling and discomfort.

Corns generally occur on the sides and tops of the feet, and appear as thick, dead skin. Calluses may appear on the feet or hands, especially when there has been quite a bit of rubbing against those areas.
