Dr. Neil H. Strauss is President & CEO of AFAWS and was raised in Beaver County, a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA where he attended the Kiski School for Boys (’93), Saltsburg, PA which is the oldest all-male boarding school in America. He then earned his Bachelor’s in Science in Biology (’97) from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA

In 1999, Dr. Strauss enrolled at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, and then transferred to Barry University School of Graduate Sciences, Miami, FL with the intent to practice in Florida.
In 2003, Dr. Strauss earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Barry University where he then completed two years of surgical residency training at West Chester General Hospital in Miami, FL.
Upon successful completion of his residency in 2005, Dr. Strauss joined Dr. Brietstein as his associate and a year later became his partner to form Brietstein & Strauss, DPM, PA. Dr. Strauss is now the CEO and President of the practice and prides himself on his work ethic, approachability and bedside manner. Dr. Strauss lives in Parkland, FL with his children Isabella and Ryder along with their golden retreiver, Harley. His hobbies include: Radio-controlled aircraft, collecting/building/shooting firearms, instructing firearms safety, high-level tactical training, collecting vintage and modern sports cars, boating, SCUBA, Fly and Deep Water Fishing, and restoring vintage motorcycles and has won in one of the prestigous and respected motorycle shows.

Dr. John P. Marion, DPM, MBA, FABFAS, FACFAS
Dr. John P. Marion was raised in Pittsburgh, PA where he attended high school at Shady Side Academy (’97), Fox Chapel, PA. He then earned his Bachelor of Arts in the Biological Sciences (’01) from the University of Chicago, IL.
Dr. Marion moved to Miami, FL and worked as a molecular biologist for the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute before enrolling at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. He earned dual degrees of Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Barry University in 2011.
Dr. Marion completed a three-year residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. He has special interests in wound care, regenerative medicine, and podopediatrics. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Marion currently resides in North Miami, FL and has two children, Sean and Mia. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Marie, and is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
